And the shot that you threw looked perfectly straight except for the height of the shot. Straight out and straight back, unless of course you would like to keep on punching him, in his face, with your right hand (we'll maybe get in to that some other time). Over the elbow and crank.

I remember My instructor wanted us to overrotate the right hand to also cover behind it in the shot.

    Optional of course.

Something about The bicep covering the jaw if you throw the punch in a certain way and corkscrew extra

If you turn a shot over extra and then cover you are leaving your ribs badly exposed.

But you do set a trap if your opponent attacks up top.

Yeah. It was a real boxing gym but not a good one. We hit the palm of each others gloves instead of pads. And rarely did heavy bag workouts. I hated the place.

The heavy bag is where you build perseverance, the grit to just keep diggin'.

No coached pad work? Bad habits...............Rockin'

heavy bag workout for beginners like once a month.

We did head movement drills and all the rest

Intermediate level group more heavy bag but still crap. Sparring level progression was very slow and THE guys in the intermediate group couldn't fight. They looked Good but couldn't fight.

                  Head movement drills, sounds exhausting.

I'll have to remember that one.

Did you ever get to spar?..................Rockin'
