Good idea? Fighting a week before my Tournament Finals fight

I'm in the finals of the NE Travel Team Championships. I fought the first week, September 12, and haven't fought since. It started in 4 tournaments, all the winners face off. I only had to win once to make it to the finals, on October 23rd. My opponent fought a couple times I think because he won his tournament and fought the winner of one of the other tournaments. I watched him fight, he's pretty good.

But anyways, I'm scheduled to fight in the finals October 23.

My trainer just called me and asked me if I wanted to fight in some show this Saturday that is completely un-tournament related. I said hell yea lol why not?

I figure I'll shake off a little rust and add another win to my record

I'm just hoping I don't get injured in any way.

      Thanks man.

I think I'll be alright. I've been feeling real good in the gym, I just want to fight as much as possible.

While injurys are less likely to happen in the amatures, it still happens. Also, if you were to get knocked out or stopped, you would not be able to compete. Weigh your options and decide what is best for you.

While it is good to stay active and such, the biggest thing to remember is that if you get Knocked out or stopped by head shots you won't be able to fight in your tournament. (28 days rule) and there is also a risk of injury, however small.

Weigh up your options, I definitely wouldn't give away weight or heaps of experience, just to be sure nothing ****s up the tournament for you. And if you tend to pick up injuries in fights, take that into account too.

I heard about a Samoan Commonwealth games representative who lost by RSC within 28 days of the games and couldn't compete. That would be incredibly disappointing.

My trainer wants me to do it.

I think I'm going to do it. I don't think I'll get injured, and if I do, oh well.
