here is another Really good tip:

save many of your power punches for when he is more tired. when he is more tired, your hard punches will seem even harder. that is what helped ali KO foreman. ali could never have been able to drop foreman earlier, but the fact that foreman was wore down - both tired, a little beaten up, and mentally frustated - he was susceptable to power punches much more than he would have been.

also, i have found that throwing some power earlier in the fight helps gain respect and helps set the pace more in your favor, and works mentally against him as well.

again, this is what i have found throughout fighting and sparring. i also used Ali/Foreman as an example because i thought it was perfect in this instance.

also, be aware of how u are tied up inside. he may try to lean his weight on you or use other tricks if he is more experienced and not a beginner.

i boxed a tall opponent yesterday, with freakishly long arms. I thought i won, but he got it on a majority decision. parry his jab, use head movement and **** his body. try get inside him and rough him up but dont get careless.

Last 3 or 4 guys i've fought have all been taller

the taller one who was my weight, i just took it too him and threw a fair few punches, i didnt go to the body as mcuh as i should have though and he was able to time me coming in a bit, i lost a razor thin 1 point decision

the other 2 guys were heavier too i just moved boxed moved my head countered etc won easily

and the other one was heavier and taller, but i had a foot injury which limited my mobility a lot, so i ended up drawn into an ugly sort of punch on, and i lost by a couple of points

So if you are gonna take it to a tall guy, make sure its neat and tidy, and dont stand in front of a taller and heavier guy, bad choice

fyi and to help u help me, iv seen him fight b4 and he throws punches in bunches, he uses his reach 2 his advantage but fights shorter than he shuld. he is always punching. he's throwing 1 2's and he throws all his hooks to the ear and he throws swooping uppys thru the guard... its hard 2 say if he has any defense. i dont think he does.

like i think i have mentioned, try to stifle any rhythm he could have. be impossible to figure out.

it sounds like he doesnt have too bad of a strategy if he can always punch, and utilizes combos. for a combo puncher, i tend not to stand in front of them, but also make the impression that i will forcibly take it to 'em if they wanna go that way.

intent is a huge part of any fighting art, sport, or platform. and i hope my other points will help. the buggest guy i boxed, was 6'3" - 6'4" and weighed about 260 - 275. he was half a foot taller and about 100 lbs heavier. he was a crisp jabber and could throw an exceptionably hard right. i remember using a right hook to his mid abdomen while moving to my left with much effect. i would have my left hand guard my head while i moved right, if u wanna know the details.

i also pot-shotted more instead of walking him down, as he was a huge linebacker sized guy. but, you kinda have to throw a few hard punches first to let him know what awaits him if he messes up. from there you can start to use feints and more of a movement based strategy while occasionally throwing that hard punch to let him know that u are serious. well, u should hit him hard when u can either way. but combos can work very very well on a big guy as long as u are aware of being able to step out of distance quickly.

and remember, he will get more tired quicker usually. but if he doesnt expend his energy, make him work.

i dont know the details of the guy, but i hope this helps you. good luck man.
