It all comes down to how bad do you want it and what are you willing to give up to get it.
Find a book called Beyond the Ring by Lyle Fitzsimmons (I believe that he wrote it).
Besides a good look at the history of the sport, it is an in depth look in to boxing and the brain.
Amateur boxing was great and I recommend it to any young male with true grit.
The pro game is a meat grinder but was still great.
Look in to that book doe, great stuff is in it.
How bad do you want it?

As for anything related to a concussion you would most likely know because you would have probably been taking quite a handful shots and felt like $***. So unless that happened you should be good to go.
Also just for reassurance anytime you go a good while without sparring once you start back up it takes a few days to get used to it again from a physical standpoint.
I plan to rest, recover fully and then try again.

What makes cowards of you, and everybody in your corner, on fight night?

I have not had any headaches. After the sparring my ear was ringing from a left hook I caught. Hearing was muffled for couple of days and now the only thing I have noticed is that if I am looking at laptop, phone or TV and things are moving quick then my eyes loose focus. But that seems to be improving everyday. Got checked by Doctor and they think just very mild concussion.
The laptop thing, jesus man you're not cut out for this. How old are you?

This is a great way to relieve tensions but if you are just doing this like on the beginner level then I recommend you do some light sparring not go for the high one. There are many benefits to competing with BJJ. Best of Luck.
