  • I joined a boxing gym

Yea, I know this isn't the right sub forum, but that other one is dead. I wanted to share this with my lounge bruvvas. My fitness journey starts now, I got nothing but time on my hands after work, no more excuses. I stopped drinking sodas two weeks ago, that was a big step in the right direction, my body type is skinny fat. I'm not a fat muda****a, but not real skinny either. I joined a pretty good gym, so I'm excited. I don't want this to be something I start then quit, funk that. I want to be able to bump this thread in 6 months and say I'm still going at it, if not then y'all bump it and call me a mudabish, a poosey, Victor Ortiz, a bish ass nukka, or whatever because if I quit then I deserve it. Wish me luck on my journey you muda****as!!

Hopefully you are still posting in this thread 3 years from now.

Go in with the understanding that you, coming off of the street, don't know sheet about boxing. Listen to your trainer, take it in and work it hard. If you have weight to lose than that is fine, just get in there and give it 150% every time. I don't know your age but if you work hard things will just happen as they should. I used to drop up to 8lbs a workout, rehydrate and then show up the next day to do it all again

Remember, once that bell rings it's 150%. You'll grow fast by doing this and who knows what you may be able to accomplish.

I had to have my mother sign a form allowing me to box. Her and my step-dad figured that I'd get punched in the nose and just quit. Years later I was fighting on TV at the Palace as an amateur and a professional.

150% and listen to your trainer. You really never can tell until you get in there and just do it.

    Good luck man!!!

And you're fine putting it in here, in my opinion. Just do your thing and keep us posted!....................................Rockin'

Ok, maybe not 150%, but boxing will definately help you to lose weight. As long as you are not pounding 2 liters of pop/beer and enjoying Big Macs after you train/work out. Boxing is not only a sport but it is a life style too. Eat the things that are good for your body, drink things that are good for your body. Train hard and you'll get whatever it is that you are looking for.

Take care of your body and your body will take care of you.

It all starts with your mind doe. See it and then go make it happen.

You might not choose to compete, although you could, but still good luck man. I hope that you find what you are looking for, and then some.

No place I'd rather sweat it out than in a boxing gym, well almost

Go out there and get it!!! And keep us posted.

That's exactly how you do it. Your muscles will be sore tomorrow (be sure to stretch good before you start up working), push through that sheet and get it done. In this sport you will meet up with pain daily whether you spar or not. Learn to love that burn and you will get whatever it is that you want out of this..............Rockin'
