Yeah that's a fair point too. Even if you suck you have to commit fully to constructive criticism. I can relate to the shy fella though and tend to stick up for 'em for whatever reason as part of my nature. Another humbling Nash out interaction though, cheers my guy.

No problem, man. He just seemed like he wanted advice to improve, and when a bit of advice came he jumped. Nobody starts out great. He could have took the critique and improved because of it, instead, he just ran cos he didn't hear what he wanted to hear. Sometimes, we need honesty to improve, especially when we ask for it. It is an honor on these boards to get criticism from Nash Out

You should watch Anorak's sparring video. He gets decked twice, by an old man.

I've been thinking about this reply. While you will create bad habits that will need correcting you are atleast getting your eyes some experience. I used to put on the gloves with whoever wanted to box before I found a gym. I remember, like a few days after finding a gym, I was sparring with a club regular, one of the trainers. We were just boxing and I tried to turn a hook off of a jab. Ofcourse he just got under it, but he comes up with this huge smile and yells to the head guy, he just tried to turn a hook on me off a jab. You can learn things just F'n around. But the thing that you will learn most is that it doesn't feel very good to get slugged in the head. If you persevere through the discomfort, in time, it just won't bother you. How bad do you want it?.................Rockin'

That would a great saying for a ring announcer when calling the main event fighters.
