If they're the ones at my gym ($30 I had no illusions) they fit like crap have 0 wrist supportand the lining inside is ****.

I will say the padding is pretty durable, I'm a hard puncher and have put a TON of rounds on 150lb muay Thai bags, the lining inside is ripping though and the gloves manage to be loose on my big hands.

I would have easily chosen the rival ones because no1 has ever said anything bad bout them plus look rele nice but shipping was a problem. Thanks for narrowing it down tho guys.
I've never tried any of those gloves. But, Ringside generally has a good reputation with their products.

Lonsdale has been around for a long time as well. So, If I were you, I'd narrow it down between the Ringside and Lonsdale.

Everlast's low end gear, the 29.99 ones at dept. stores suck and which is why people say Everlast sucks.

Also KO Fightgear may not be a stand-out to the eye but I've heard many times that they perform well, take note that they are Thai Gloves.

Also just because a brand is known for one thing doesn't mean that's all their good at. ESPECIALLY for MMA, MMA fighters train in boxing/thai boxing gloves. You don't train hard with MMA gloves, you just don't, unless you're looking to get hurt. When you use MMA gloves its VERY light to the head, variable to the body, or you throw a bit harder but do not aim to hit and miss on purpose to kinda go through the motions. Training for real with mma gloves would be ******ed. Look at Triumph United I have their Japanese Heat Seeker boxing gloves, they're pretty nice I gotta say. They're known for MMA but they support the boxing community (they like David Haye a lot), kickboxing, and MMA.

Yah, i only recommended them because the sherdog idiots always jizz over them any time there's a glove discussion. Don't sleep on the first pair of American Stand Ups, they're a very faithful Grant knockoff - the only bad part about 'em is the leather which is that PU stuff you see on lower end Titles. If you go on ebay, every week they put up a new pair for auction, got mine for $35 instead of the $83 they go for brand new. I like these gloves a lot, near identical to my new Grants.

I use Title Gel bag gloves and Ringside IMF Tech sparring gloves. The IMF's are pretty good, they give a good thump and the hand protection is excellent. They're also smaller, it seems, than other gloves their size. (I'm in the Master Division, and we have to use 16's, so size becomes a factor.) Get hook-and-loop gloves, whatever you get.

Something I noticed with the IMF's, though, is that there seems to be a thin spot in the padding right at the top of the cuff, where the cuff meets the glove. I've found bruises on my wrists more than a few times, always in the same area, and I think it's from elbow blocks on uppercuts and body shots.

I'm slowly switching over to all Rival gear. My next purchase will be Rival hi-top boots, and then probably gloves once my IMF's start to wear out. I have their headgear and I can't say enough good about it, and I've used their gloves and I love them.

Not IMO, at least for the bag gloves, might be different for sparring/training. I have the high end Rival Elite bag gloves and the IMF techs, the Elite don't have as much padding/protection than the IMFs a counter-argument is that it gives you better feel for the bag as you punch, etc.
