No, they are not necessary at all.
Go have a pro fight with no amateur experience (no actual boxing experience). I'm sure you'll do fine.

O and Dante, check post #8 in that topic.
Also watch those, opinion of a youtube member but worth the watch.
We all must love Jack Dempsey for his Dempsey Roll
O and Joe Lois and Rocky Marciano, but that is obvious.
(Where the last one has 49 real fights and still unbeaten with 0 losses / 0 draws)Last edited by Source; 09-08-2009, 04:53 PM.

Dude, do some research
Rocco Marciano began fighting permanently as a professional boxer on July 12, 1948.
The first Rocky movie is from 1976.
Go back to your Ali movies
Rocky Marciano (September 1, 1923 – August 31, 1969)born Rocco Francis Marchegiano heavyweight champion of the world from 1952 to 1956. Marciano, with forty-nine wins to his credit, remains the only heavyweight champion in boxing history to retire having won every fight in his professional career.Last edited by Source; 09-08-2009, 05:39 PM.

Have you ever been hit by a professional boxer?
Yes or no.
I don't care how many pattycake matches you've had, or how many "streetfights" you've had in high school. I'm talking about a professional, money-making, trained boxer, punching you.
