I heard it's better to run first before eating, cuz itll directly burn your fat, instead of your meal.
Then theres the, "good to eat first, cuz youll get rid of your first meal, and burn it off"

But who knows, its hard for me to wake up and just run. I have to be stationary for at least an hour before I start can go to the gym/run. Sometimes I eat 4 hours after waking up.

You do know your muscles aren't nourished and are catabolic after you sleep? They can be used as fuel as well.
I got used to eating a little bit before running. But when I was in the army i got used to running before chow. I actually noticed better results doing the latter. The only drawback is that sometimes you may not feel that you have enough energy. But IMO running beforehand is much better...
