But i guess any kinda exercise that gets yer heart pumping is gonna turn fat people thinner no?

bingo depends what pace ur going. I find if u incorporate sprints in ur skipping eg 2 mins steady skipping pace, 30 sec sprint skip for about 20 minutes this is a lot better for losing weight and a lot more draining than just running a set distance as it uses more of ur muscles both arms and legs. Skipping is brilliant for losing weight and toning provided you go about it in the right way

i would say both things are same good to drop weight, because the difference is that you jump instead of run, so at the end you have the same result, just choose that what you have more fun with. i like jumping the rope more then i have also the rhythm for dancin' in the ring and every once in a while you can also run a bit with the rope. so at the end the intensity is the important thing when you want lose weight

Skipping is more demanding on the body (using more calories) but is worse for your joints (not too much of an issue for a young fit person).

Sprint training is king for quick fat loss though.

I do both at the same time to be honest. It sounds really dumb and probably counter productive. But i live across the street from a huge cemetary and i jog there and bring my rope. Ill do laps and incorperate Spinting on and off. then when im not doing hills i bust out the rope. I also incorporate sprints with the rope too. I have been stuck at 10% body fat for a while but im slowly inching my way down to 8. jumping rope is more entertaining than running long distance so i usually have more motivation to do it longer

I do do both. I'm losing weight for a tourny on saturday, and i've been eating little and doing lots of skipping and running. I was just pondering which is better.
