I never understand fighters who have these ****** 4am routines.

Why doesn't he get up at 7 and go to bed at 11?

I'm with you, no reason to be getting out of bed at 4am.

It's a mental thing honestly. Tyson did it. Gives you that extra boost in confidence when knowing that your opponent is at home sleeping while you are working.

You guys should try it. I used to do it for like a month. Stopped after that.

Too cold and dangerous where I live. Plus the sleeping early thing.

Just make sure that you wear cotton hand gloves to protect your hands from getting numb when you finish your miles. It's that cold at 4am in most parts. Trust me.

Less Traffic on the street at 4AM

7AM is the start of the going to work traffic .......

That's why I always ran early 5AM, no traffic or friendlys to get in my way.

I get that reasoning, but it still doesnt make sense. I mean, if youre in a high level, big fight, then youre gonna end up fighting at night...sometimes as late as 12 at night.

personally, I would probably train sometime around that time just to be accustomed to it.

...then again, Im not an ATG boxer.
I think Mayweather does it that way, doesnt he?

Because some people are early birds.
