  • My training regime... any thoughts??? (PLEASE read and wb)

    Looking to lose 35 pounds of body fat and keep the muscle I already have, I'm 6 foot 1, very broad build and have a lot of natural muscle and I'm also very athletic (I mean despite being overweight and broad I'm very fast and agile).
    I'm currently very fit just need to cut back the calories to cut off the fat.

    looking to...
    run 8 miles 3 times over 5 days
    and box 2 times over 5 days
    and also do 4 sets of strength conditioning over 5 days (NO weight lifting, toning exercises - just sit ups, push ups, pull ups squats etc.)
    with 2 days rest.

    all this on 1750 calories a day (good food i.e. chicken, fish, porridge, fruit, vegetables, salad etc.) and 1500 calories on the 2 rest days.

    hoping to lose 3 pounds a week over the next 6 weeks and then lose 2 pounds a week to lose the rest.

    any thoughts/advice/story's will be greatly appreciated!

    this is thoroughly unresearched, (For the second time today) go to t-nation.com and read some ****.
    doing distance running by itself is ineffective for getting in shape. not to say that it's not important, but exclusively it's not the best. you need to do some goddamn sprints and intervals. box more if you want to lose more weight. do the classes at the gym you're at. do wide grip chinups and russian twists.
    there, you're already a ****in pimp.

    and spar lots.

      so what do you suggest?

      run less and box more to lose more body fat?
      do you have a link for a good sprint and interval routine?
