  • Eubanks routine from the horses mouth

He said he'd run eight miles every morning and his gym sessions consisted of shadow boxing, pads, heavy bag, skipping, push ups, sit ups and medicine ball hits to the stomach. Then closer to a fight, heavy sparring and speed bag in place of pads and heavy bag and no push ups or medicine ball.

He'd start sparring three rounds and work it up to 12 over a few weeks, finishing sparring the day prior to the fight itself!!! All his sparring was heavy and relentless.

In shadow boxing he'd work on movement and combinations. On the pads he worked on single shots, and the heavy bag was for resistance. He also did a lot of stretching and could do backbends and splits!

Weights? Most Friday's, but not the day before the fight. All machines.

His roadwork was seven days a week and his gym work was five days a week.

Ermmm, NO! I don't see many similarities to be honest. They may have had similar backgrounds or maybe not, but their personalities in and out of the ring are completely different
