  • How much percent does the boxer get from a 50% cut? (Including Promoters, Trainers..)

Reposted since the main section is being spammed by Diamond belt threads

    Let's say it's a mega-fight that will make millions.

    50/50 each fighter.

From the fighters 50 percent, how much percent does the promoter, manager, trainers and all the other people usually get from the cut?

Or is it only certain people who get a cut while others get a fixed amount?

Floyd Says Pacmans got the worse deal/contract because Bob Arum takes 27% I think, is this 27% out of the 50% of the total fight amount or out of 100% which would be Mannys 50%.

    -

The promoter pays for the plastic cups that the beer is served in to the chairs for each corner of the ring to the ring itself, the round-number girl, the referee, the ticket sales, advertising, licenses and making sure the scales used for weigh-in are properly calibrated - from a source.

Does the money from him paying for all this come out of his own personal share of the percentage lets say 27%, or the rest of the percentage that is going to be made.

i know some trainers get 10% of there fighters purse
and i know of some promoters that take like 1/3 of the fighters purse
which i think a 1/3 of one fighters purse for the promoter is too much
oh and i think managers get like 20%
these numbers are roughly what my friends manager/promoter/trainer were paid out of his total purse. so a $25,000 purse only like $8,000
like i said these numbers are what my friend had and this was a couple years ago, don't know about other places in the counrty and other level fighters

Ya I think I get it now.

Boxer - The Manager looks after the boxer.

Promoter - Only looks out for himself.

The Promoter has to organise everything, from Beer to chairs to ambulances outside with trained paramedics and such.

The promoter also does licensing, advertising, risks basically everything!

This is alot of money so the promoter would want a large share because of it, the more the boxer earns the less the promoter does, and vice versa, the manager is the one that looks out for the boxer and makes sure he gets a fair share.

The promoter is not a manager, I think this is where I got things mixed up.
