i have a problem whatcan i think of to develope that ''i have to destroy this mutha****a'' mindset when sparring or fighting? i will beat the *** outta u in a street fight but unless im mad its hard for me to become agressive when sparring and im afraid thatll translate to when i fight. tell me how to conjure up the animal. what can i think of? what trick do yall do to get focused?

don't do dat in sparring, only in game time, me i dunno i just happens when i see him hurt i just wanna hurt em even more.:wank:

in our gym we had two kids that would not engage enough durring sparring, so the trainer would put two on one for a minute to get each kid to react in an instinctive survival mode. You could see some real difference in the way they would attack when cornered, the key was that it was a minute at a time and each kid was told that if they did not attack agressively first and ended up cornered then the two partners would go hard and simultaniously, it was actually a cool game and seemed effective

for me that animal instict comes out when im hurt, if i get stunned by a punch my natural instinct is to punch back.
One time i was sparring with a friend and he landed 3 good hooks that pretty much knocked me out, everything went white and i could'nt hear anything and then suddenly i came to and i was still standing and my friend had backed up and was bleeding. Apparrently after he landed his 3rd hook i began to fall and then suddenly came back with an all out rush that apparrently hurt him.
another time i was sparring a guy who weighed 210 (im 133) and he wanted to see how good of a punch i could take so he did'nt go easy on me, either way it pretty much turned into a Gatti/Ward fight apparrently, i was'nt knocked out or down and traded with him for 3 minutes straight. after the first round he said that it was enough and gave me a pat on the back and said that i was "a throwback to the golden age" and ive never been more proud :P

First of all if u haven't got it theres no way of getting it u shouldn't need 2 think about it, it should come natrually. As 4 sparring its either i stay calm and practice wat ive been doing wit my trainer and on da bag an pad's etc and focus on things that im not good at, then there's the real side 2 me when i want 2 drink the other guys blood that shouldn't b done in sparring. C thats wat im mean ive got an on and off switch there's no medium setting. people forget sparring is training, the only reason u should get agressive is if ur sparring partner is trying 2 knock u out.
