  • Do you Trust Your Trainer/ Coach?

I've been reading quite a few threads about people wanting to spar/ fight or who have other concerns and I noticed that a lot of it comes down to the relationship that you have with your trainer. IMO A lot of peoples fears or concerns could be answered and put to rest by your trainer.

I personally have a great relationship with my trainers (the 2 brothers who own the gym). If they tell that I need to do drag a 50 pound tire around the building 20 times, guess what I’m doing 20 times. If they say I need to get in the ring more and throw 50 jabs per round, I’m in the ring trying my hardest to throw 50 jabs. If they think I’m ready to get in with someone better, I’m in the ring. They always push me harder but they’ve never hung me out to dry. I’ve given it 110% and failed at times but I always have support.

So how many of you really trust your coach or trainer?

Everyone trusts their trainer and thinks they have a great relationship...until he ****s them over.

Thankfully I don't think I have to worry about that. I talk to him every day through emails and text messgages and when he's not in the gym he always make sure we have a program for the day to follow. He's also a volunteer at the gym so it's clear he's not after it just for the money. Best coach I've ever had in any sport.

Mine left me out to dry in my first fight. Put me against a kid 2-0 with both first round knockouts. He has moved now but still match makes for us. A total prick.

Got a different one in now who is alright trust him kinda. Mainly trust myself to get it done don't take criticism well.
