  • Dieting and Training.....

    Sup Guys,
i started a new program on Monday,
basically trying to tone up whole body and lose weight in the stomach,
Ive completely cut out all carbs and am drinking 2 protein shakes a day,
once after the gym (10min jog, 45 min weights),
and another before i go to bed....
I am eating alot of Meat e.g. Chicken, Steak etc etc....
Ive been training a few months and have lost weight and build up abit,
but am struggling losing weight in my stomach area,
i am aiming for a six pack.....
Is this the right way to go about it??

    Thanks

sounds like your eating too much protein,

what are you trying to achive?
are you trying to bulk up ,
      or lose weight

you may want to put on muscle and lose fat but this is extremly hard to do, your better off pickin on or the other, as to gain muslce you must consume more calories than you use up in a day and to lose fat you must consume less calories than your body needs a day, trying to do both is the worng way to go about it, you may gain a little muscle and lose a little fat, but you will have no where near as much sucsess as you would if you did one or the other,

it sound like your trying to lose tha tlast bit of fat and have a six pack and look ripped, .......when i had to lose weight for my first boxing match , here was what i did, i watched everything i ate, i was hungry alot of the time, i didnt eat butter or anything unhealthy, i made sure i ate barely any carbs e.g. pasta, poatoes, and i went to bed a little hungry on a night, i also went running, i was so determined to lose weight for my fight, i did it the old fasionsed way BY NOT EATING TOO MUCH, thats the main thing, just dont scoff ur face, and show a little grit by being hungry somtimes,...........when i ifnished i had a six pack wihtout even tensing it was just there lol, and i was really cut up , basicly im saying , if u want to lose weight then diet if u want to gain muscle the eat big,

I eat out often with friends and family so in order to keep from getting "fat" I'll ride my mountain bike as often as possible to burn off calories. It's working so far so I'm happy with it. JAT

true, but then agen i didnt completly cut them out, but you shouldnt eat them any where near bed time, thats very important, dont eat engery foods berfore you go to sleep, becaus eu dont need much energry while sleeping and it will be stored as fat
