  • anit this some s.hit......

today i was at my gym...working on my stuff that needed to be work on.

we suddendly this guy comes in unannounced and ask my trainer do we have some middle weights/ welterweights to spar with his guys.

so insted of my coach telling the guy he should had called first and set up a date where some middleweights and welterweights can come.....my coach says OK!!!!!

im like....for real.... cause my thing is why let these guys come in and spar with us when they didn't even have enough respect to call you.

that and we anit got no real welterweight and middleweights. just a bunch of heveyweights and light hevey's

idk what happen cause i had to go before they came. but that **** bugged me cause i know if we went in their gym like that they throw a fit.....

and my coach needs to think a little bit better if he gonna bring in some unknown dudes and have them spar and try and knock our brains out

e****ally since my gym got a bunch of beginners.....

idk im just ranting......what you guys think

Yeah true its disrespectful and your coach shouldnt just let them spar knowing nothing about them.
But this is boxing, man up, no point in letting petty **** like that get under your skin.

I don't know man it's just sparring. Obviously your trainer thought he had some talent in the gym that he'd put up against someone else. Besides the lack of being overly courteous by asking ahead of time I don’t see what the big deal is? If you have a good group of guys who can control themselves then why not step in the ring and mix it up a bit? I trust my trainer’s judgment 100%. If he thinks I’m good enough to step in against another guy then I’m in. I also trust him to pull my ass out if it gets outta control. Bottom line is I’m not afraid to step in and spar against anyone (I’m not saying you’re scared) I just look at it as someone else to learn from so what’s the harm in that? If it’s a pride thing then settle it in the ring.

It's always good to break it up. I wish people would randomly come by and want to spar with us. As long as the dude didn't bring in a bunch of pain in the ass guys, I don't see the problem.

To me as a coach you just showed me you were a ***** by taking off and not offering to spar and work with the other guys that were brought in.

Its not good to spar the same people day in and day out. You get used to a couple of styles and not with what other people can bring you.

Me and my team travel to other gyms for sparring and other gyms occasionally bring some of their guys down to get some sparring. It's no big deal since all of us coaches know each other and have lack of good sparring for some of the smaller gyms. If we didnt help each other out no one would improve.
