I found that after adding sprints to my running I had a lot more gas in my tank in the way that I wasn't out of breath and fatigued as much as I used to be after a long heavy session on the weights followed by the bag.
But I did find that my legs weren't exactly packing a whole load of power either.
So around four months ago now I bought myself a rowing machine which I use on a high setting and use for high intensity cardio routines. I have found that the power in my legs has (in my opinion) close to doubled and I feel much more bouncy when I want to fight cagey.
I have kept this my own secret among the guys I spar with at the gym - and I have noticed in late rounds when before I may have wanted to spoil and hide my face I now dominate and command an outside punching ring whilst my opponent has gotten tired.
Overall I can safely say that the rowing machine will help your movement leaps and bounds.
Anyone else have cardio methods no one really pays attention to?
