  • Quick on my feet.

    Hello all.

    I've been on/off training for a year and a half. Went to a session the other day and whilst sparring/hitting the bag i was told ive got good technique at turning my body into shots but i need to be quicker on my feet. Im a small guy (65/66kg) and i play football and basketball so without sounding too bigheaded im quite fast. I just wanted to know if anyone could give me any advice on how to move faster. For example, whats the best thing to do after throwing, i can pivot but it doesnt provide me with enough distance. - Please nobody tell me for the 100th time in my life = lead foot goes first etc, now slide and all that.

    Circle the bag, Side step the bag, Slip the bag. work on all 3 at once.

    should improve your foot speed among other things

      shadow box as much as you can, aiming to move

        oh and try getting ankle weights

          yeah shadowboxing concentrating on footwork is your best bet here
