If you want to gain weight i would go with a 6 meals a day plan.

Big meal at breakfast lots of carbs complex and simple small amounts of fat decent protein ( drink milk) I like to eat cake for b-fast along with everything else

snack: simple carbs. cheese cake soda pie soemthing small that will give you energy i like tasty cakes

big meal at lunch focus more on proteins about 50/50 carbs to protein more complex carbs with what ever fat your gettin from the protein like some cheese fat on the meat fat in the mayo ( dont forget mayo it makes stuff taste better)

    snack: simple carbs. tasty cakes

decent meal for dinner little bigger then a large snack but focusing on protein and complex carbs dont skimp on the fats if you have mashed potatoes have some gravy

Snack before bed: try for protein if you cant pull that off get complex carbs i usually enjoy 2 eggs fried scrambled boiled what ever

amounts to eat: Till your full

If your gaining to much weight exercise more

Diet advice? Change up my workout? Alter my cardio?

I don't plan on starting this regime until I hear the final word from my trainers - I don't think they will be happy with my choice at all and I feel it may take a lot of talk for them to take me seriously on this one.

Just increase what you are eating by about 500 calories. Which would be about one extra meal a day. Dont eaty fatty fries it is alot of fat with only little other nutrients. Look at gaining about 2-3 pounds or 1-1.5 kg a week no more or it will be mostly fat. Adjust the diet accordingly. Look at the links in my sig for the correct foods and more info.

Look at increasing your muscular mass. You will need to do regular weight training with adequate rest. Unless you are a beginner at weight training real muscle gain is slow. Expect it to be not much more than half of the weight you are gaining if you are eating right, less if you are eating too much and/or fatty foods. Once a week just eat what you want, pizza or whatever, but the rest of the week make sure you get enough lean meat, good fat and carbs without overdoing it.
