  • How much should i run?

Im 5'8" 132lbs and 18yo. Ive been running 4 miles a day just about everyday for 2 weeks now. I was finishing at about 35minutes, until i took thursday off. Then i ran 2.66 miles friday (7:24 pace) and 4 miles today in 31:21 (7:50 pace) So my first question is, how are my times? and im wondering how often should i run?

are you looking to run a marathon or fight? Best answer is both, because if you fight its going to feel like your running a marathon with somebody beating the **** out of you the whole way................Rockin'

increase ur distance every 2 weeks. take ur time. dont go crazy. but push ur self to the limit at the same time.

      JACK DEMPSEY, HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION 1919-26
‘Your basic training day runs 15 hours, from 6am to 9pm, with 15 rounds of various kinds of boxing [sparring, heavy bag, speed bag, shadowboxing], plus your roadwork, running five or six miles’ - A Flame of Pure Fire; Jack Dempsey and the Roaring 20s

      SONNY LISTON, HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION 1962-64
‘Preparing for the biggest fight of his life [against Floyd Patterson for the title in 1962], Liston fortifies himself with two meals a day, walks seven miles in 7lb shoes, shadowboxes four rounds and skips for nine minutes to a jazz recording of The Night Train. Sometimes he rides a red bicycle’ - Newsweek

      DAVID HAYE, CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION 2006-08
‘I don’t run long distances, I do a lot of sprint work and weight training, which some people in boxing regard as taboo. It’s not the type of stuff other boxers do, but they are the guys who have stayed at British level while I have moved on to the undisputed world championship’

The number of meals that David Haye eats per day. The meals contain a lot of raw vegetables and rare steaks and portions are double what he used to eat as a cruiserweight when he fought at just over 14st. He now tips the scales at 16st 2¾lb

by the way run outdoors, either track field or park its way better and you'll feel the difference rather than running on a treadmill

i jog one mile for a warm up and do about a mile and half worth of intervals than an 800m for a cool down. your times are pretty good for only beginning just make sure you push yourself and sprint and the end of your runs.
