  • how many times have you received a blow to the head?

Through out your life, can you guys recount the numbers of times you have received non-boxing related trauma to your head, however mild it may be.

I count 20, from other sports football, soccer, and misc. injuries such as running into a pole lol.

never been knocked unconscious though, just dazed.

lol, alot. I cant recall all of them but alot. Never been knocked out either. I seen lights one time but that was a street fight.

The most significant one was when I was playing football last season. I went in with the wrong shoulder on accident and we collided. A loud ass ****, I play CB. The first time I ever had my bell rung. I never even had my bell rung in boxing, kickboxing, nor mma.

By bell rung I mean you hear "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" in your head. Makes you feel horrible.

Another football incedent, I hit the dude so hard that my chin strap popped off, he was just laying there but I got a tingle in my spine. Like electricity going down your spine.

I was pretty much knocked clean out playing rugby twice.

Only one of them was the result of a hard tackle though - the first time was the result of the scrum collapsing and I caught a shoulder to the face.

cant tell. once i was kicked in the head playing football (soccer) real bad. i wasnt out cold but i was down for about 10-20sec. didnt have to get up like in boxing though, couldve got up quicker. but i was shook for sure. wobbled a little as i got to my feet. i got kicked right in the temple, and had kleet (spelling?) marks on my face for atleast a week. looked like the tyson tattoo.

Quite a few. The worst was a baseball bat and cricket bat attack to me, caused a fair bit of damage, but didn't hurt strangely, maybe I was in shock for the whole event and recovery time.
I also got knocked clean out playing footy, took an elbow to the head going up for a corner.

I've not boxed or kickboxed since the bat attack, so can't say if it affected my ability to take a shot really.

I'm starting to train again soon, so it will be interesting to see if my punch/kick resistance has dimished due to this.
