I was recently told boxers don't lift weights as i came from ice hockey... right now i weigh about 146-152 and im 5'7 but i lift weights everyday and have just recently stopped for boxing.. my whole body has a good amount of muscle, but should i try to make 139 for boxing tournaments and fights.. i want to have good speed and not bad power also.. i was also wondering the rules for fighting about age limits... if im 18 does that mean i could fight a 26 year old with my weight or a 15 year old my weight?

I believe the 'Elite' age class is 18-34. So you could fight someone who's 34 in your first fight. However it may be 19-34 so you would be in the next age group down which is probably 17-18. I'm not really sure.
As for your weight it depends on how much fat you have. If you're in good shape right now and don't have a lot of fat then you're good for 152. If you've got some chub on you, you might be able to get down to 141. But if you just started out boxing dont even worry about that right now. You may gain or lose a bit of weight as you progress with your training.
