i'd always lift...run...then do abs...but that used to do murder to my gym partners...so i switched it around to lifting...abs...then running...but i ran indoors on the week days...outdoors on the weekends...
you should lift first then run, seeing as it requires less energy to run wouldn't want to get on the bar gassed from running, go to do your first set and realize your to tired to finish the rest.
it depends on what kind of running you are talking about. i run a miles before i lift. if your talking about running atleast 3+ miles then i dont even do it on the same day. running before lifting is definitely tiring but its even harder after because your muscles burning so much energy. You feel completely drained after lifting that even easy running gets you tired fast. just do what you feel gets you results. if you want to do it before then do it before or vise versa. youll eventually get used to it.
Idk if its true but a ex trainer said you should run first because if u lift then run. The oxygen that is needed for your muscles to relax and build are being wasted because you are running and they wont build or relax to there full potential
I always prefer doing cardio after lifting aswel. Unless its my Leg day,(depending on how hard ive hit them) if hard, they usaly feel like wet noodles after lol.
