is there a season in amatuer boxing in the UK? like is their a time of the year when their will not be any shows? thanks

yea season is done now till about september, we jus in da gym tickin over

Yeah its over now. Fights are still going on but less frequently as most clubs close for summer.

yeah english boxing slows down over their summer, just like aussie boxing slows down over our summer (december, january, february)

in most countries they have a summer vacation from school and work, so naturally boxing is included

yeah, i think it originates from schoolboy boxing, and making it term-time, rather than it being because the summer months are too hot for boxing (because their clearly not, not here anyway). Whitecollar and stuff still goes on, but aba amatuer boxing is september through about may/juneish
