  • **rival gloves question**

I'm thinking about getting these gloves. I've heard they feel pretty bulky on your hands and I'm looking for something that feels light and compact but still offers very good knuckle protection. The ones that I'm looking at are High Performance Hook and Loop Pro Sparring Gloves (RSV2) and lace up version RS1. I like the lace up better but may choose hook and loop because I do half of my training on my own so I know it will be a pain with lace up. For anyone who's tried these do they really feel bulky compared to other gloves? How do these compare to others? Thanks

get the cleto reyes 14 oz pro training gloves, they're 140 at ringside, 120 or so from a guy on ebay. THEY just came in I am excited as hell, I just put one on and it felt completely different than any glove ive ever worn in my life. im about to go a good 20 rounds on my bag and jump rope.......just got home from work and saw the big box, new shoes, gloves, tape, gauze, I'm so excited...

the damn lace on the left glove looks like it's all threaded out...im sure they'll replace it. it's useable, but yeah, that's my only gripe. ordered monday or tues, received today.

achilles.......the shoes feel amazing for 55.00, (note...for 55.00...lol) but I have to admit the 120.00 hitop EL's felt better. these seem to be more durable, we'll see.

ill use these to train, and buy some el's to compete when that time comes. the ELs are much better, like u said...

I've got the RSV2 Hook and Loop ones and love them. Hard to tell if they are more bulky then other gloves though because mine are 18oz.

I have the lace-up long cuffs and I like them a lot. I have broken my hands a few times and I have not had any problems with these gloves. The hand pocket is big. I always wear two wraps, and add a sponge over knuckles when sparring. I use the glover assistant from title and it works fine. However, when laced up they feel much better.

I can't really compare many other gloves as far as overall bulk. It seems like maybe you want something that doesn't exist. Bulk = hand protection. Compact = hand injuries. These aren't Mexican gloves, but I don't think they are Winnings either.

            Hope that helps.
