2 Physical Problems I need help with Please!

Ok guys I need help with 2 things. One is I am having a hard time doing my road work because I find my knee is having a hard time taking it to the point where I have to limp around the next day. My legs are strong so, but I was wondering some specific exercises to get rid of this.
    2. Kind of a weird problem that I have tried everything for including taking months off, pushing through it, exercises trying to target the area, but nothing. The problem is that when I throw my left it gets fatigued extremely fast as if I had gone many rounds. You know where its so painful its difficult to keep my arm up. First thing your thinking is that I am not in shape, but I am in very good shape. It also takes me forever to stretch and im still tight most of the time. I noticed that straight punching fatigues more than anything which I find strange. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Please help this has been plaguing me for a year now almost. If anyone has any suggestions please email me at mntwins24@aol.com if you would be so gracious. I probably wont be near a computer for a few days and can only check my email. Thanks.

I would just recommend doing knee raises laying down on your back with knee or ankle weights on... you can look up physical therapy excercise to strengthen your knees also... strong legs does not mean strong knee's so try running one day while swimming and biking the next

Go to the doctor for your 1st problem.

Your second problem. You may have too much muscle. Big muscles aren't flexible, thus you can have what your experiencing. Wonder why bodybuilders dont fight? Them big muscles can tear. Or you have an injured shoulder.

Go to the doctor, have them run some tests. If you have nothing wrong with you then maybe you aren't meant for fighting.

        hey,

        i share those 2 problems.

        1. knee - i was doing 50km (about 20miles) a week, and my left knee became sore. I haven't done roadwork for 3 weeks, doing bike and cross trainer, and knee is still tender. I've been advised to try knee strengthening excersizes.just started that process.

        2. shoulder - i have had same issue with left shoulder for 3 years. recently i broke my 4th metacapal and had mri's on shoulder and elbow also (whilst i was in there) and they discovered a tear in rotator cuff. doctor told me only surgery will fix the problem (quick to fatigue). he also told me that many people have rotator cuff tears because the shoulder is a complicated part of the body, but as most people don't box, it doesn't really bother them.

so to answe your q's. there is no silver bullet to any of your problems, i suggest you go to a sports doctor and get some tests then find a good pyhsio/osteo/or excersise physcician who can heklp you manage your problems.

Ive had the same two problems also. to be a boxer you dont have to run, there are other cardio work outs that don't **** up your knee. what i used to do for my knee and shoulder is put some ben gay before starting, before and afterwards I felt a lot better. your shoulder problem is weird man, get that looked at.

Have tried all that and I also should add that I am not a ***** and have a very high pain tolerance and can will myself through quite a bit. An example I guess would be that a few years ago I went through a windshield and landed on a log which broke my back in three places, tore my acl, and several lacerations and wasn't even supposed to be normal again let alone boxing which took alot of work and pain to get back to. Im not trying to brag or sound tough just wanna show that Im not some dude who is beind disabled because of something minor.

Switch to a cross trainer until your knee heals. Get some kombucha tea as it contains a natural precursor to glucosamine. Expect the rehabilitation to take 3-6 months.
