  • Stamina problems.

    I have some stamina problems.

I don't know how to breathe properly when I punch. Please tell me some tips.
I hear my friends making noise each time they punch.

Hard hits and agressive opponents make my stamina decrease alot.
While if it's with someone weaker than me I can go on forever.

I get tired in the 3rd round alot. 3x3minute rounds.

Body shots kill my stamina as well.

Quick bursts of energy leave me tired after.

I tend to focus on conserving energy during sparring instead of hitting the other guy. Which I think is a major problem for me.

    any tips?

1.RELAX:comfort in the ring will take your stamina to a new level.
    2. Breathe: this helps..your friends are making the sounds because when you breathe out w/ your punch your body automatically takes another breathe back in.
    3. The more aggressive the pace, the more tiring it's going to be. Again, stay relaxed.
    4. Body shots are supposed to do that. work on your stomach conditioning (sit ups). try not to let them hit you.
    5. Thinking about being tired = tired. Don't think about it. Confidence in your training should do the trick.

    Good Luck.

buy an everlast timer. (they're basically waterproof) 15.00 at academy.

do interval sprints during your roadwork when the 30sec buzzer goes off, and in the middle of 3 minute rounds..sprint 4-5 sec, go back to jogging. jog 20 sec, sprint 3-4-5 sec, go back to jogging, last 30 sec, take off running, sprinting 5seconds of every 15. That's 20 sec running, 10sec sprinting total per 30sec end of the round.

this will help your boxing stamina more than anything else. it will condition the body to fight for three rounds, sprinting simulates your cardiovascular system throwing a combination. As you sprint, exhale hard per step out of your nose. Do the same thing when you punch. Mine's weird, I grunt and exhale at the same time. But it sounds good. Every fighter has their own unique noise.

The advantage is obvious, by exhaling hard after each shot, you force oxygen out of your lungs so you regulate your breathing better. Additionally, your abdominals will tighten up as you punch, resulting in not only a harder punch, but a better defended midsection, should you get caught with a bodyshot midflight.

I have stamina it's just that now we're a little bit more advanced hell.
Sometimes if the trainer sets the timer at 2 minute rounds instead of 3 we go at it full war non stop. During the wars I get really tired. Which I think is unnaceptable for an AM because 3x2 minutes isn't very long.

i think u know what u have to do. run more, interval sprints. if u do this and dont feel results eighter there is a problem in your diet or possibly u are eighter to heavy or too light, straining yourself making weight.

Will he also give him a piece of his anatomy and genes? Cause just because one person does something to achieve better stamina it doesn't mean the other person will get the same equal benefit. It's in the genes.
