Moderation moderation moderation. Dont go out and get f'd up but a few beers with some cards or a movie and a few friends isnt too bad at all. Even if its some mad party you can still moderate your self and try to find some water every once and while Staying hydrated is one of the most important factors to how you will feel the next day.

I'll once again use Ricky Hatton as an example...... just take a look at him.
The answer is obvious and needs no real explanation other than you looking at people who drink regularly. If you get wasted every weekend ideally you should cut back, this is whether you are taking boxing seriously or not.
It's not good for you.

i say taking shots of liquor on the weekends is fine...but guzzling beer with your buddies while watching a sporting event or at the pool hall is not a good look.
