dont spar straight away if you've been out for 17 months

start with TONS OF running, plus shadowboxing, padwork, bagwork, getting your form back as well as some fitness

and after 2-3 weeks, when your fitness is improved, start doing some sparring and gradually build up the rounds and intensity

if you spar straight away you will be rusty, your technique wont be 100% there and you will gas quickly and develop bad habits, you need to brush up on your technique and fitness before sparring again

even after when i have my months break in summer, when i get back in the gym i train for 2 weeks before sparring again, doing lots of running and sprinting and sharpening up my technique
