      They work great. I had a lot of trouble throwing a hook in my combinations because my right arm is pretty weak and the 16oz gloves were bulky and heavy for me (I'm a southpaw). After switching to the lighter gloves, I can now throw the hook and when I switch back to 16oz gloves in sparring I have no trouble throwing it either. The 12oz gloves don't feel bulky at all, they feel considerably lighter than 16oz gloves.
