  • I highly recommend this diet program that I recently joined

I recently joined this health management program. Just because my old ways of dieting/training wasn't doing me any good. Partly, I simply just got lazy w/ going to the gym and got tired of cooking food and cleaning up, so I ended up gaining f**kin' 30-40 lbs eating out all the time. I'm 5'7 and used to weigh 135-140lbs. these days I walk around 170lbs and on a good day around 165lbs.

The website is www.hmrprogram.com Right off the bat the price to join their weight program is pricey, it's $250 up front. This is not including the shakes/meals, I don't know how much the other programs they offer cost though, the program I chose may not be neccesarily be the one for you guys.

The shakes and meals they have will cost $8 a pop, that means a packet of nutrition shake cost $8, now, at first thought, wow, that's a rip-off just for a shake. Well, let me tell y'all their shake isn't just any other shake, first off, it's delicious and second, their shake makes you feel full, like you just ate a full meal.

And when you think about it, eating out you'll average $8 a meal anyway, for me I calculated my weekly expenditure on food and compared to how much I was spending on their shakes/meals and I was just spending maybe $30 more, which is not too bad.

The program I chose includes medical supervision, which means I have to see a doctor once a week, to make sure I'm alright because what the shake is doing it's kinda tricking your body, like I mentioned earlier, it makes you feel like you just ate a meal, but you weren't really eating anything at all but sippin' shake all day. The great thing is, you don't feel light-headed at all. I've tried this similar diet before, but instead, I was buying over-the-counter nutrition shakes ie Sl!m fast and EAS shakes, but none of those shakes give you that full stomach feeling and just made me feel light-headed and irritated.

The first week of the program you're basically on a nutrition shake only diet, after that, you can start eating solid foods again + the shakes. They give you guidelines on training too, but, I follow my own program, which is basically a mix of boxing/kickboxing/running/weights. Their program is actually alot less intense than what I'm used to doing.

What the program did advice is that you're suppose to workout twice a day, so I usually run or do the weights in the morning, then I do the boxing or Muay Thai at night.

You can't just purchase their shakes or entrees, you have to join their program to be able to get their shakes. I'm entering my 2nd week now and I've lost 12lbs already.

Most people would rather use mental dicipline and have a regular diet with yummy salads. Rather than pay that much for gacky shakes. (Yeah they taste nice at first, sure. Two weeks on that ****? You're guna be sick of it.)

You cant beat good roast beef salads and pastas + protein shakes, vitamins w/e

Uh, that's the problem, most people do not have mental discipline to stay on a regular diet, why do you think alot of Americans are obese?

And, yes, too much of anything and you'll eventually get sick of it, like, uh, being over-weight, I'm tellin' ya, their particular program works. You're under medical supervision, I'm not talkin' about a nutritionist they assign to you, we're talking about under supervision by a doctor!

And no, the shake phase is only for a week, then you can start eating solid meals again. And yes, it is expensive, because you're being seen by a medical expert, you know, a doctor, heard of them?

None, I tried it, and it works, and I'm just so happy with it that I felt like sharing it with y'all.

All I gotta say is, don't knock it, till ya try it. Again, it's not for everybody. Different strokes for different folks. But it is working for me and I'm satisfied, end of.

The problem is most people DO have the mental discipline to stay on a regular diet, but are too ***** to challenge themselves and push themselves when their body is screaming out for **** food. Americans would much rather pay loads of cash for some get-think-quick scheme that: one) costs them nearly 3-4 times the amount of cash it would to just eat sensibly and cook your own healthy meals at home; and two) puts so much **** into your body (not fats, but dubious ingredients that you have trouble pronouncing).

Good on you for doing what you feel is right for losing weight, but I honestly think that anyone that has the mental toughness to box should have the discipline to diet on their own. It really is not hard at all after you get used to it (1-2 weeks). After that you'll see the difference in your overall well-being and you'll not want to get off of the diet.

Fundamentally there's only two aspects to training.

Loading up, working hard. Loading up, or nutrition, is generally considered more important, since it has more of an effect on the working out than the other way around.

Your problem was obviously the working hard part. Eating out is ****ty, but it's a hell of a lot better than a shake that "tricks" your body, lol. What a dummy.

Diet shakes and these types of programmes are all fads. Yanks are fat because they eat too much. I thought that was obvious. Why don't you get some appetite suppresants such as Hoodia Gordonni? The stuff is natural and is the **** to stop you becoming a greedy fat blob. And listen to your mum and eat ya greens! I have 5 fruits a day and five portions of veg a day and it helps boost your stamina and endurance.
