i think you'll be the failure when u actually quit. you've lost ur first fight, this is just testing you, you've failed when you actually quit. If you can get back up, start training and winning fights, you've overcome it. That's what i feel.

"It ain't about how hard you hit, It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done" Rocky Balboa - Rocky Balboa, it might sound cliché but it's true.

Bernard Hopkins lost his first pro bout, he didn't fight again for a year and a half working on everything he thought he did wrong. Look at him now, quitting is easier, get a new trainer and go to a new gym.

      **** happens.

it depends one what is you propriety in life.

        What do you really want?

everybody goes down from time to time. You lose only when you have stopped reaching you goal permeantly.

My coach started yelling at me to keep my feet apart and was yellling at me even though I'm winning. Get this he never even trains me. I wanted to do it my way but I did it his way to make it happy. While I had my feet apart I was too stationary and was focusing on making the old fart happy and I got clocked by a hit that took away my legs and knocked me down I got up. Now I lost all respect. I don't have that great of a defense either that's why I move alot. Well anyways now I'm thinking what was I thinking blowing all that money in boxing wasting all that time training and quitting my part time job and skipping homework and projects.
Hey kid, you sound very insecure. If you don't believe in yourself one else will. Read my signature, the Sugar Ray Robinson quote.

I love boxing and my dad loves baseball. Your parents aren't always going to like or approve the things you like.

You said you were outpointing your opponent and because of one ****ing knock out you're going to quit. Your opponent didn't knock you out cold and you didn't write anything about having any major injuries as a result of that knock out. Stop being a ***** and stop being harsh on yourself kid.

So your trainer is an ******* who doesn't want to train you, find another gym but don't give up on your dreams so easily. Don't be a quitter.

take some time, let the loss settle in. the feeling of failure and embarassment will go away with time. then u will know what to do. eighter u will feel like boxing really just wasnt for u, and quit. or u will feel the need to come back better. right now u just need to get the whole thing into perspective, once u can think clear. weather or not u should quit will be a easy decision. think it thru, right now u probably cant think straight so just take your time.

at the end of the day only u know what u want from boxing, and it up to just u to get it. u can make excuses u dont have the best coach, this and that.. if u want it, train harder, run harder, study boxing.. and u WILL get results. but its all up to u bro. boxing is all about sacrifices, i cant tell another man weather or not its worth it for him.

Everyone loses. You only get stronger and better if you learn from your mistakes. Talk to your coach and tell him your goals and tell him you give you more attention and support. If that doesn't work find a new gym.
                  this is great advice.

i disagree. taking a loss badly isnt a sign of being weak, its a sign of a big ego. if u have a big ego it will get hurt if u get your ass whupped, your pride aswell. its a good thing to have a big ego in boxing, a very good thing. lots fo great fighters thought about quitting the first time they lost.
