  • When there is no clear shots available what do I hit? (Arms, Gloves, Elbows)?

When my opponent is at the ropes and there is no clear hits available and I want to keep him at bay while I control the fight where should I hit him...?

Arms, because it will tire them and he will be less reluctant to throw.

Gloves near his face so they collide and make him unconfortable and out of his zone.

Or Elbows.. Which would prob hurt me lol.

Or elsewhere because Moving to the side and landing hooks would just make him turn and block.

he can't cover everything up, you could go to the sides of the body.

There is always something to hit. If he covers up in a turtle shape. I like to lean over and **** a right hook or left hook to the body and jab back out. He most likely won't be looking at you to expect it.

If he covers his face go for his ribs and stomach as people said he can't cover everything. You could also try and punch from under or around his defence.

Don't hit the elbows unless you want hand problems later in your life, if anything I'd go for the arms so they tire.

I will try the next time I'm sparring him and see how it goes.

he can cover the sides of his body with his elbows or the sides not both.

I would say keep using your jab and flicking it at him, make openings happen from that, a jab sets up your next punch...

Uppercut quickly followed by your right hand.

If he decides to lay there, **** those arms and the body. Just don't punch yourself out.

yea there is always something. u can work the jab a little to open it up more, then start ****ing. u have 5 basic zones u want to go to. to the body its around the sides and down the middle, and to the head its down the middle, around the side and from underneath. everytime he covers something he leaves something else open. just let your hands go. every punch doesnt need to be hard. but if u throw a double jab down the middle, right hook to the body, left hook to the body, right uppercut to the head, left hook to the head etc.. and keep going u will open things up. then stop for a second, u could throw a double jab then feint a right hand and double up the left hook to the body and head and then throw the right down the middle and another left hook..

throw punches like that and unless u are paulie malignaggi u will bust up his defense for sure. just dont punch yourself out.
