Why does the skin on my left hand pinky knuckle get cut everytime I do mittwork?


Its so irritating cause once its cut every left punch I throw is painful. And this happens to me every single time I do mitts. What the heck is my problem?


Thanks. And if you already experienced cuts like these can you recommend me a way to heal these cuts the fastest way?

its normal becoz when u hit your get your pinkie to hit 1st vertically try curving your hands hit with middlge finger knuckle 1st to avoid injure.

Yeah its basically youre punching wrong. You dont want to hit with your pinky knuckle. Thats gonna break real quick. Try to hit more with your pointer finger and middle finger knuckles.

wrong hit with your 3rd and 4th finger.....hitting with the pointer is a definite break waiting to happen

I had the same problem, but on different fingers, and changed handwraps which worked

i have the same cut at the exact location as you op, the cut gets worse everytime i go on the heavy bag

maybe also coz of the handwrap i got cuts too first on pink then other finger my middlee because its the one that go 1st on impact.

I put a vaseline like substance on my pinky knuckle before I wrap my hands but it still happens.

Its so annoying hahaha At least now when I do mittwork Ill always be reminded that im punching the wrong way If I feel some pain
