  • Pain in my head after blasting heavy bag.

I had a battle in the ring in the Golden Gloves and ever since when I go on the heavy bag heavy I have a weird pain in my head that night and sometimes the day after and then it goes away. I am thinking it could be a pinched nerve or something but anyone ever experience this?

Yeah i dropped but it was a left hook that caught me off balance. It did not buckle my knees or anything. Was not on my chin or anything. So, I think it was from the cumulative trauma of the fight. I went on to win the next round so I was not "hurt" per se. But man my head feels weird right now, like if I shake my head its feels like a I have a headache in a certain spot. It happens after I blast the heavy bag for several rounds.

Got punched in the side of the head near back of my ear... continued sparring for 2 more rounds not much of an effect though it was kinda stinging.

It had a lasting effect for a day and a half or a massive headache where I just wanted to sleep, few days after it still had it a little bit if I shook me head side to side but now its gone.

More than likely its a tense neck or upper back muscle, I've had this after hitting the heavy bag before. The pain can be felt around the head but its rarely something internal (like the brain).

The various muscles of the body act as shock absorbers when you pound the bag, the muscles of the upper back take some stick when you pound the bag and the tightness increases in your neck muscles which in turn pulls the muscles around the head. I'll bet you feel it more around the temples or low down on the forehead?

A good cool down, massage and lastly good rehydration reduce what you seem to be describing.

lol at this post. Getting beat down is really bad for you. Also, blasting a heavybag will always hurt if you're not well nourished. It used to rattle my brain until I got my diet right.

I am thinking this may be the issue. I think I may have a pinched nerve that I keep aggravating.
