  • What to do?

Im kinda stuck with trying to loose some weight.. right now im around 99.5 kgs and 175~ cm tall, as you can tell, thats overweight. (Steadily gaining)

I got an advice from many saying that muscle eats fat and after alot of strength-training (And so much running my asthma allows me to do) and dieting, i managed to gain ANOTHER 5-15 kgs under 1-2 months.. which brings me to the question:

    What do i do?

I can't bike/swim/run/jog any REAL distances for it to take effect cause my lunges are ****, lifting weights only makes me heavier, im on the brink of already eating too little for me to get a severe overtrain/depletion (Which i got before so i know my limit) and my bed/eat schemes are fine and stable, any kind of help appreciated cause im running out of ideas.

Hey brah, Im like you man, im 6'0 235 lbs!

Back when I was 16 I was 200 lbs, then at 18 I turned **** around and got to 160 lbs! Here's how to lose the weight

Do pushups and JUST bodyweight workouts, also do cardio on a stationary bike...I used to do about 200-300 pushups a night and drink enuff water

Also, I would EAT LOTS. Man I would eat chinese food, McDonalds, and all that good **** BUT I would make sure I would'nt consume lots of sugar!!!! Always got a diet drink with meals at fast food joints or else water. Dont consume lots of sugar cuz it breaks down muscle and that muscle DOES burn fat and calories as muscle needs lots of calories to function

Im 20 now and 230 lbs now cuz I stopped workin out and consumed more sugar...but if you stop eatin ICE CREAM, pop, and any other **** with lots of sugar, and if you do LOTS of push ups and stationary bike - You WILL lose lots of weight

Just remember, also when you eat lots and you do work out lots as well, you WILL lose more weight (Eating lots tells your brain you dont need to store fat and that you get enough food so you dont need fat stored)

Over the past year I have lost about 40 pounds and almost 6 inches off my waist. How I did it was by hitting the heavy bag every other day, doing strength training every other day and eating smaller protein and fibre rich meals. Stay away from suger and carbs such as white pasta, rice etc. Each whole wheat everything if you do love the carbs, it is tough to get used to but eventually you get used to spaghetti that tastes like hay lol. Chicken breasts, salmon, tuna, some soy products. Veggie burgs and stuff like that. eat loads of fresh veggies.

I allow myself one cheat day...usually Friday night. this is the one day each week when I can eat white pasta, or pizza or something I usualy dont allow myself.

I suffer from SVT which is an irregular heart rhythm condition so I sort of know how you feel about your asthma. I guess you can only do what your body allows, but I have noticed that as I became healthier and in better shape, my SVT has nearly disappered. I believe that a healthy trim body helps one with any health condition, no matter what it may be.

Anyhow...good luck. Hope that helps a bit.

Like one of the posters above said, do bodyweight exercises. They'll help you gain toned instead of building mass, if done properly (do a lot of reps). Start taking a 45 minute walk everyday after a big meal - say, dinner - if your lungs are too **** to do more involved cardiovascular activity. If not walking, ride on a stationary bike as it doesn't really put a lot of pressure on your lungs.

Also, eat NATURAL foods. No junk food, no McDonald's, no fried food, etc. Eat fruits, vegetables, roasted/steamed meat, and carbs like rice and potatoes. If you want something sweet, eat honey or fruits. Eat cheese. Basically, don't eat anything that has any ingredients that you have trouble pronouncing on the label.

It's clear you're not one of the people that easily loses weight. You will have to work hard and push yourself - mentally and physically - to achieve your goals. Start slow and build your reps up, but eat sensibly.

        Good luck.

asthma is a bich but keep running and biking you can say its your asthma but just as much asthma as it is being over weight.

if you really cant run perhaps try loading your self up with weights like ankle weights wrist weights 40 lb back pack ect and go for nice long walks through the country side for an hour or so your just walking so your asthma shouldnt act up and all the extra work should help you burn extra extra extra calories
