  • Rebuilding cardio / quitting smoking

    Hey everyone ,
I just got back into boxing competitvely, been doing it my whole life (basicllly since I was old enuff to walk,I was taught how to punch....so roughly been going to the gym and training since 6 or 7) I went religiously, however hit a lil bump in the road and started smoking cigs.... Now Ive been smoking off and on 2-3 years.... What is the best way of re building my cardio in order to get back to top physical shape. Cardio wise what are the best exercises for detoxing my lungs??? Anyone else have the same problem ?

    Thanks guys

long distance cardio will help you sweat & should do wonders for your cardio vascular. Talking 45 min to an hour of medium/fast pace; the harder the pace for that length of time the better. Albolene will open your pores to help you sweat out the tar. You may also want to try ****y food and soups like Vietnamese pho, also a lot of dark green vegetables - these will clean out our lungs & airways. A multivitamin will help replace the vitamins leached out of your body from the smokes; so will the veggies, orange juice, and even milk. Fiber will help your cholesterol, which smokes also increase, it'll help get your blood & digestion healthy again.

I took a 2 and a half week bender after the birth of my son and just went back to the fitness gym (Gold's) today. My ability to go at a high level intensity has definitely decreased. I didn't even make it to the fight gym tonight (got ****** into baby duty). I'm definitely going to be using some of my recommendations for myself.
