You have some skill, better then the majority of the fighters that post on these forums.

You should try and work on your composure. You are swinging wild and for the fences. It's an amature bout, you fight for points. A jab gives you one point, as does you're big, wide, and wild left hooks.

You both are also waiting WAY to long.

Not even close to being ready to go pro. You have added lateral movement since your last fight, and look quite improved, but you run without reason.

You are not diffusing pressure, you are not walking him into something, you are just moving to move. No goal, no reason, nothing accomplished other than wasting energy.

When you move like that, it need to be because 1: you know you are up on points and are killing time, which should only be done in the last round, 2: You are trying to walk them into a counter, or 3: You are diffusing pressure, in which case you should be walking them into counters.

Its fun watching your progress, but you are not ready for the pro game yet.

Good comments by Shawn, I definitely agree.

You move around a lot (which is good IMO), but then when you want to attack, you stand still before you do it. This plays right into your opponents hands, and he's able to pick you off with counters most of the time. It is much easier to do that, when you attack from standing still. You should use the movement you're doing to set him up, before you commit yourself to your attacks. Mix the foot movement up with feints (which should be done with hands body and feet). Use the feints and movement to put him under pressure, instead of, like you do in this fight, put the pressure on yourself. You can be aggressive without punching if your movement is done correctly, which will put the pressure on him without much physical effort (but a lot of mental effort).

You should work on that in training - use the movement to put pressure on the opponent, frustrate him, and create openings for your attacks. Never commit to an attack before you've set him up for it, never attack from standing still.

Still better than anyone but Domey in this forum.

I don't know how the judges score in your part of the world, but over here, and internationally, you can jab a guy to death and not get a single point for it. The punches that get registered are HARD punches, and the easier they are to spot, the more certain the point. So wide punches are actually money in the bank if they connect.

People who talk about amateur boxing being pitpat punches have not seen a lot of amateur boxing since the 80'ies.
