Well the time has come for me to whip my sorry self back into shape. I have a couple questions I hope everyone can answer. I played soccer and wrestled in high school, so I am used to working hard. What I never did was eat correctly. I was your typical teen who drank, drank, and drank some more. I never ate well either. Now I am finding it harder and harder to keep cut my weight, and I have not done PT in a long time.
1. What is a well suited diet to cutting for boxing?
2. What boxing specific exercises should I be focusing on? I already will be doing the basics of push-ups and sit-ups, running, and biking. Keep in mind I don't have access or the money to use gym equipment.
3. Once I get back into shape, do you think a trainer is worth it? I mean, I can scrounge the money together if needed. I am not rolling in money, though, since I have been laid off for the last 3 months.
4. What else can I use for something to punch around on besides a punching bag? Again, I like cheap. I am bigger( 5'10" 230) and need something that can stand up to me.
