    Fighting off your back foot

    What exacly does this mean? I've heard the term used often....

    when your backfoot is attacking you and you must defend yourself from it by using aggressive action.

      there are those that fight with an equal distribution of weight on the front foot and the back foot. This is done so that no adjustment time is needed if you need to move forward or backward.

      A guy with his weight mainly on the back foot will generally be a forward moving fighter. With his weight on the back foot all he has to do is push off of it or forward and the movement is complete. But if that fighter needs to move backwards suddenly he will either need to first adjust his weight a little bit forward and then push off or he will have a short and slow move backwards. Kinda hard to explain but hope that clears it up........Rockin'
