At first i thought you were talking about a KFC based diet you know. To add to what I have already said, I'd like to point out that it is a contest to see who is the better fighter, and not a bodybuilding competition! Aesthetics are secondary, and I am sure you may also notice that boxers have bigger shoulders and triceps than biceps but we train to fight and not to see who can bench the most when a bird goes by. Anyone overly concerned with such things may be better off cross training or bodybuilding! Train to fight, and any aesthetic gains such as a six pack or shoulder like boulders are a bonus, not the objective!

Plus they don't grow up playing footy. They also wear long shorts, and you will notice that they don't have footballers calves, but often do have footballers quads and hamstrings. B-Hop arming up revealed the truth hidden behind his long shorts.

However, your assumption is not correct. I've noticed European fighters from Calslappy to Naz have humongous legs because their style tends to be more planted down and they grow up playing football. S American fgighters don't have bad legs either. Manny Steward said Naz got his power from his 'soccer legs' and the Prince's younger brother Ali was a top prospect but a decent footballer too that played for Sheffield Untied. Naz didn't get in club academies (for obvious reasons) but he probably played alot and was handy in charity games celebrating goals with his summersaults!

And finally, boxers in general tend to be lean anyway. It isn't just their 'chicken' legs, they have the chiken build in general. I look bigger in my fight pics and vids then I do normally when I put on my DKNY, Versace and Boss clothes on. I wear the slim fit **** coz I look slick in it with ma shoulders poppin out of the lean frame. A ripped torso and arms looks bigger than it is because it is sick! I have lean pecs and shoulders and they look huge but in reality they are smaller than when I didn't train full time

            Lol, thats great man...

i dont think boxers have that skinny legs but in comparison to the upper body they definatly are smaller on the whole. Does any think that having stronger legs results in being able to take a punch better?

a stronger neck is what helps you take a punch better.

people who dont work calves dont have them. i have absolutely ridiculous football player quads/hams and only a slight case of man calves hahah.

Longer muscles have more endurance bigger muscles have more strength.

dont know about you guys buy my legs maybe skinny but there just about the same size from ankle to knee not like some people that have 2 foot round calfs and 6 in ankles. biceps are just about the same way most boxers have biceps from their shoulder to their elbow pretty much even, no giant buldge in the middle, because they punch alot for endurance instead of curling alot of weight for strength. long plate like muscles is the overall goal in any type of fighting where speed in important not big buldging ones

all in all its probably the same amount of muscle just they have diffrent purposes
