Is overtraining bad

    That right there sounds about right for an amatuer boxer.

    But to the original poster, in reality alot of boxers train to their limits at the right time so they peak at the right time. Over-training at anytime can be bad and can lead to more serious injuries without the right amount of rest.

    I say train to your schedule/fights but do what portuge is doing as a way to stay sharp and fit.

      I was gonna say the same thing. Too often, the people who ask this questiona dn who worry about it are actually in no danger of ever doing it!
