    now thats a myth
splitting up 3 big meals into 6 meals equal to the total 3 does in fact help lose weight. people tend to over indulge when eating less meals and it is just empty calories being stored as fat especially when not into any physical activities. by by eating small meals every 3-4 hours before you even get hungry keeps your metabolism constantly active as apposed to 5-6 hours with only 3 meals.

"Lifting weights makes you big and bulky"
Lifting Heavy Weights AND Eating atleast 1g Per lb of Body Weight+ AND eating your active lifestyle amount of calories+ will make you big and bulky.

"Doing Situps Will Give Me A 6 Pack"
eating healthy will get you a 6 pack
eating healthy and cardio will get you a 6 pack
eating healthy and cardio and training your abs will get you a larger 6 pack.

just like most things that are "bad" for you soda is ok in moderation. if your on a strict diet then the empty calories from the sugar in soda wouldnt be worth drinking. the reason why there is a little bit of sugar in some hydration drinks is because you arent going to take a break to eat a sandwich to get some fuel back. the sugar will break down easy to give you a little more energy to burn especially when you are dehydrated.

"Steroids is REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD"
Yes it is illegal in sports
in the wrong hands it is bad
people who have asthma have steroids in their inhalers
some people who are recovering from something that caused them to be bed ridden or lose a ton of weight because of some medical condition use steroids. All the side effects of steroids arent based on any actual human studies done because no one would ever get cleared to test steroids on a human being in a lab over an extended amount of time. All of them are "May cause". Used properly, steroids can be used without any type of side effects. Roid Rage does not exist. People who have "Roid Rage" are people with a history of anger. in conclusion, medically steroids saves lives but socially in the wrong hands it is negative. Its a personal belief, aside from the fact that it is illegal but can easily be prescribed, to use steroids as an advantage in gaining physically. be smart people.

      I'll throw out a few -
"eating a 'low fat' diet is healthy." - fact is, you need 15% fat. Just the way it goes.

"if you want to get in shape, eat less, exercise more." - this is a fatal combination. The more you train, the more you need to eat. If you're going to eat less, you might as well not train.

"red meat is unhealthy." - bull****. Every great fighter I know of ate or eats red meat. It's one of the most nutritious foods in the world.

"you should abstain from sex before a fight." - eat, sleep, ****, fight. There are some things you can't tell me not to do. I agree that staying out late could be a problem.

"soda is very bad for you." - I don't buy it. Don't have science to back it up, but I think it's bs. Some people say soda doesn't hydrate you, that is DEFINITELY bs.

"If you look fat you should lose weight." - bull****. People come in different shapes and sizes. Fedor is not cut, I highly doubt he's supposed to be any other shape than he is. Anyone seen the pictures of tony galento when he lost weight? Looked gross. Some people are supposed to be big.

"Never lose your temper in a fight." - This one's complicated. Certain styles don't lend themselves well to getting angry. Some do.
you're wrong.....gettign angry in the ring makes you do ******, ****** things, theres a difference between getting fired up and pumped, while still maintaining focus, and plain losing your temper, which makes you do ****** things in the ring

i get what you mean, but for beginners and in basic technique its more effective and easier to move to their right, moving towards a southpaws left to set up an attack requires experience, control of distance and skills

5-6 small meals a day is good for a 6 week + diet, (the right way) but sometimes if you only have a week to cut weight, the eat less train more concept works for rapid weight loss
but its only the last resort
i prefer to try lose the weight dieting rather then starve myself couple of days out
          kind regards

I would add another myth that cutting weight will make you more competitive. It won't. Fighting at your natural weight has enormous advantages.

Again, that's incredibly vague and basically an umbrella statement.

What are you talking about? Manny Pacquiao naturally weighs 140-148. He's more competitive at 140 than at 135. So would pretty much anyone else who naturally weighs 140-148. His last two opponents were naturally heavier than they had to weigh in at. They looked ****ty. Manny can diet down to 135, but it doesn't make him more competitive. It's worth the tougher competition to be at your best throughout training and leading up to the fight.

Well i've never heard of said myth.

And using hte word 'competetive' is dubious.

And cutting has advantages: weighing significantly more than your opponent on fight night, fighting people shorter than you, fighting people smaller than you, fighting those with shorter reach etc.

Yes, that's the foundation of the myth. I would stand firm that all those advantages are greatly outweighed by the effects of messing with your weight. Also, from a competitors standpoint if you're always bigger, taller, heavier, whatever than your opponents that's gay anyway.

I see no harm in losing a few pounds from using a sauna, skipping a meal or two, reducing water intake for a day or w/e. The rules state you have to weigh within a limit, using that to your advantage is common sense.

'Kinda gay' again, you seem pretty inept at finding the correct words adn terms, not that you really have a point anyway.

And again, it's both subjective and an umbrella statement to say what you just said.

I'm not really gonna carry this point on after this post cause you dont strike me as the most intelligent of people.
