I know alot of people will say it's never too late. Anyone know of any boxers that started training at a late age? like 28+ up, and was successful, as in making P4P list. Million dollar baby doesnt count as an example.

Martin Rogan started when he was 27 and turned pro in his mid 30's and they said if he won his last fight (which he nearly did) then he might be in for a world title shot. At least he won a Commonwealth (British Empire) title and the Prizefighter competition and exposed Skelton along the way (and Audrey but he ain't the only one!). You don't have to become p4p king to be succesful in the pro's, and the elite fighters are a very small and exclusive band which even doesn't include all the world title holders. Enjoy your boxing and take it as far as you can!

Ron Lyle never started boxing until around 28 or 29 years of age. And he would go on to have big fights with Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, and was only a slight margin away from beating both.
He held wins over Buster Mathis, Oscar Natalio Bonavena, Jimmy Ellis, Earnie Shavers, and Joe Bugner. Maybe in a different era of Heavyweights, he may have been a title holder. Lyle was a big puncher, who took to boxing very well.
