How do you know if you have "it"

for some of you guys who box , what are the signs or indications that you could possibly be successful in the sport. sure anyone can train and be a good boxer, but some people are just born with it. how do you know?

In general there are probably a lot of different aspects to someone that is born a good "boxer". However, in terms of skill, I would say someone with naturally good reaction and reflexes (in terms of defence - not getting hit), natural head movement (kind of know how to move around as to be in the best position to land punches and not get hit at the same time), and probably good handspeed would probably be a talented boxer. In terms of mental aspect, someone with a never-say-die attitude and someone who isn't afraid to get hit, as well as hit others (which many people neglect, but some people just can't do) would also factor into someone being naturally talented in the sport.

Just my take on it though. I'm no expert.

You won't know you have "it" untill you become successful as a amature or turn pro. Its all about how you do as a pro. Amature is important and most fighters have great amature backgrounds, but being successful is not determined untill you turn pro

two answers - 1, your first instinct when you step into a gym is to beat the **** out of something rather than jump rope, shadow box or do any other kind of training.

2 - they wrap a belt around your waste

I hate when people say that. Good bag work is good, period.

Lol. That is not "it". it's good to come back, it's not good to get the **** kicked out of you.
