For those who are experienced fighters/boxers, during heavy bag practice.......what % of power do you use to hit the bag throughout or does this vary from practice to practice or even within one session?
Say if you go 6 -3 minute rounds of actual heavy bag practice........what are you trying to accomplish, what are you concentrating on?
As a usual amateur idiot, I learned the hard way about killing the bag and had a wrist injury........after learning to properly wrap my hands with wraps and tape, this doesnt happen anymore. Ihave really progressed in power and somewhat of a style
I still have an issue trying to sometimes go after the bag too hard.......Just curious what intensity to use for best results even though I am not a fighter...I would like to practice properly.
Also, how important is running or roadwork to endurance in the ring and sustaining during sparring and bag training?
I know these are amateur questions but I love my new found sport......and want to be better just for my own benefits and satisfaction..and health...I figured asking the experienced guys would be the best short of getting a trainer which I do not want to do as I am not that serious but I really enjoy it.
Thanks.
