chekc oout this website http://www.cardioboxer.com.au/ look at the machine, also go to the ''video demo'' section, ricky hatton uses one on these on youtube aswell,

i think its great, imagine being able to pads by your self at home, hitting combos over and over again, perfecting them ect, like right left hook right, the pads are adjustable aswell

I've seen that contraption before and at first I thought, whoa cool, but now, ****, why not just hit the good ole heavybag.

Nothing beats mittwork with an experience training partner or coach. Mittwork's advantages over a stationary target ie, that contraption or heavybag, is that it helps with your reaction time and that back and forth of going from offense to defense. That device doesn't do any of it, so it's not like your really doing mittwork, it's no different than a heavybag, atleast a heavybag swings back and forth therefore it helps with timing.

Probably. But he should have waited for the trainer rather than start training with his own yes man.

This peice of equipment looks like a gimmick to me. The whole point of padwork is to move aorund and find your distacne and timing and test your reactions and reflexes. This gimmick looks like a poor man version of bagwork. At least you can move around the bag and it swings so you improve your timing. No good coach stands in one spot making you do padwork and they never stay in one place. the best will make you slip and parry, whcih is one of the main benefits. Also, changing distacne so you can find your feet and timing is important on the pads
