  • glove difference during fights?

Umm I don't if this makes a difference but in my first fight I was provided with 12 oz gloves that were good condition and hard when I was hitting they felt hard and solid and I won easy tko. My second fight they provided me with ****ty gloves they literally felt like pillows they were soft and spongy my strongest punches felt like they were doing nothing. Do gloves make a difference during fighting ?

of course they make a difference, that's why deciding what gloves to use in a fight is part of the negotiations

the gloves I was provided were from the opponents gym. Man I should make sure to get the nice hard ones.

In amateur boxing you have to use the ones provided. Sometimes you get ****ty broken down gloves, sometimes you get nice ones. There's really nothing you can do except to get the best pair that is at the table when it's your turn to glove up. Sometimes there's only one pair available and you're stuck with it. Sometimes they may have two or three pairs at the time and you can try them on and see what feels best.
